Remember Who We Are
The voice of true freedom
And it's tops not just overall, but in both services and industrial output. In 2005, U.S. manufacturing output topped $1.7 trillion. In comparison, Japan cranked out $950 billion in manufactured goods and China, about $780 billion. Since then, the U.S. has doubtless lost some of its edge, but it still solidly leads. [end]
As Small Business | According to the U.S. Census Bureau and Small Business Administration, the United States has 27 Million businesses with fewer than 100 employees:• Small businesses account for 98% of all businesses (with payrolls.)
• In the last five years over 70% of new jobs were created by small businesses
• 27% of all business receipts in the U.S.
• 36% of all jobs are with small businesses – that’s 40 million jobs
• Generating a stunning $6 trillion in revenues
As An Important Part Of History And The FuturePast | The founders of the United States were entrepreneurs and businessmen. They came here in search of a better life, a freer life, free from the interference of a tyrannical form of government, which interfered in free exchange of ideas, expression of religious or spiritual beliefs and commerce. Our heritage as a Nation represent the very principals, through which, small business ownership was made possible. Those principles are linked inextricably to our founding documents in the form of protection of our rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
Small business ownership in itself may very well be the freest expression of self-reliance and personal responsibility on the planet.
Present | Today, as a group of hard-working citizens, business owners face some important challenges. As shifts are taking place in our economy and culturally, businesses may be portrayed as an enemy to a more utopian society. It is critical that each of us as small business owners, remember who we are. We are in-fact, a powerful force that spawns innovation, generates millions of jobs and trillions toward the economy. And as founders of small businesses, striking out on our own, not asking permission from anyone, nor needing it, like our Founding Fathers, we are the today’s guardians of liberty.
When a law is before your State or a proposition before your vote, please take the time to make our voice heard. Think about and take action on precedents being set that help or hinder small business practices on any level. Participate in local and State business and legislative affairs that affect your small business. As you take a stand, our voice is heard.
Remember to remember who we are; we are the backbone of a civilization that is the most prosperous, freest society in the world, in the history of mankind.
We need to continue to think, each day, about the
part we play, in pursuing life, liberty and happiness, as defined by us. As business owners, we are a driving influence in the U.S. economy and a living part of history.
